Your responsibilities as a Head of MFL will be:

  • Classroom management
  • Compiling and updating individual learning plans for students
  • Responsible for conduction ad-hoc meetings and structured parent’s evenings with parents/guardians/carers
  • Teaching French and Spanish to KS3 & KS4
  • Lead a strong and supportive team
  • Maintaining and improving the academic results of their Languages students

To be successful in the Head of MFL role you must:

  • Hold an up to date DBS
  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications (Bachelor of Education / PGCE / QTS)
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Must work well with staff and pupils alike
  • Experience as a Head of Department or leadership role
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish up to GCSE
