It is the school of choice in the Maidstone area and is the most over-subscribed school in Kent. The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The students are friendly, well behaved and have a thirst for learning.

Your responsibilities as a SENCO will be:

  • To meet regularly with the Heads of Departments to report on student progress
  • Teaching and supporting students with a range of special/additional educational needs, SEN with Support and those who have an Education, Health and Care Plan
  • To produce individual and group reports
  • To monitor individual student progress and provide additional intervention where individuals have difficulty achieving expected outcomes
  • Classroom management

To be successful in the SENCO role, you must:

  • Qualified teacher status
  • have completed and achieved the National Award for SEN Cp-ordination
  • Have experience of teaching students with a range of learning and behaviour difficulties associated with specific learning difficulties
  • Must work well with staff and pupils alike
  • Have strong classroom management skills

The successful SENCO will be offered:
