Then this is the role for you!
SEN Teaching Assistants are crucial for ensuring that all children are given the same opportunities to flourish. You may work with students that have SEN needs such as dyslexia, ADHD or Autism and be responsible for ensuring that they are learning and developing both academically and personally.
Our SEN Teaching Assistants work with more experienced Teaching Assistants and Teachers, so you feel supported, too! You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the development of the children, who have varying levels of needs. The role will involve working directly with children on a 1:1 basis, with a small group of children or with the whole classroom, so expect some variety!
SEN TAs are pillars of support for Teachers and provide a huge amount of relief for teaching staff. The contribution you make to the school and the students’ lives is very rewarding.
These education jobs have a lot of opportunities for you to build your experience and develop your skillset. All of our roles are immediate starts with paid trial days. You will also have the opportunity to go permanent (which is often the case!) should you fall in love with the school (and we’re sure you will!)
Rikama do not accept roles from any schools on a day-to-day basis and only take long-term and/or permanent positions. Because of this, we can guarantee a long-term placement. We have a high success rate when it comes to permanent transfers from long-term placements, so if you are looking to build your experience and sample different schools, Rikama are the place for you!
We are constantly looking for new staff to join us. If you are a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or any have experience in any other supportive role in schools, we would LOVE to speak with you.
Alternatively, if you feel that someone you know would be suitable for roles in education, you could be entitled to a referral bonus!
The consultants and Rikama Education each look after their own location, roles and school setting (Mainstream or Special Educational Needs). Therefore, depending on your location, you will have one dedicated consultant who is therefore you at each step on your career.
