Rikama Education Ltd are currently working with a SEN school located local to East Grinstead who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants who can support with teaching and learning in the classroom.

Ideally you will have experience of working as a SEN Teaching Assistant with students and supporting a range of additional needs. In particular we are looking for applicants that are experienced in working with Autism and SEMH.

Ideally you will also be qualified to Level 3 (or working towards a TA qualification), have good literacy and numeracy skills, and the motivation and patience to support children with special needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities include:

• To provide a safe, supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
• To liaise with the lead teacher in preparing the classroom .
• Support children with special educational needs and diverse learning styles.
• Track and monitor student progression.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

The right candidate must have:

• Experience of working with children or young adults
• Knowledge of working with a range of additional needs such as ASD (Asutism) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) issues.
• The right to work, without sponsorship, in the UK
