Funding for Special Needs is Unacceptable

At the start of 2019, a report was published to the public stating that a staggering ‘94 per cent’ of schools were finding it extremely difficult to resource the support needed to meet the requirements of pupils with SEND then they did two years ago.

Without the required funding within our schools, children with these additional needs are severely disadvantaged and will not be able to have the same opportunities as their peers. To Rikama Education, this is unacceptable and unsustainable long-term as the issues will just be getting worse if funding is not increased.

Being parents ourselves, everyone at Rikama believes that students throughout the country should have the ability to grow, develop and achieve well however with these crippling budget cuts happening, schools tend to axe the support staff first; immediate funding is desperately needed.

What do you think about this?
