Rikama Education are currently working with an independent special school That is looking for a Lead Primary SEN Teacher with responsibility. The School caters for pupils with with ASD, Complex needs and SEMH, who need a smaller, more structured educational placement in order to develop and achieve their full potential.
As a Lead SEN Teacher you will be teaching small classes of pupils (6 in a class – 2 TA’s in support of you a sa Teacher)
The role is split 80% Teaching with 20% Management
Pupils will have learning levels at Early years to KS2 and as such we would look for you to teach at various levels
You will have experience as an SEN Teacher, working with students and supporting learning cross curriculum in KS1 & 2
You must have the ability to deliver lessons at varied levels and direct individual Teaching Assistants
The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
