This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that provides an inspiring and inclusive curriculum. The school is seeking a SENCO with a strong background in inclusion to manage SEND provisions, ensure students receive the best support, and take on the additional responsibility of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Key Responsibilities
As the SENCO & DSL, your duties will include:
• Developing and implementing the school’s SEND policy.
• Coordinating and monitoring targeted interventions for SEND students.
• Providing advice and support to staff to ensure inclusive teaching and learning.
• Liaising with parents, external agencies, and local authorities to ensure the best possible support for SEND students.
• Leading professional development on SEND strategies and inclusion for staff members.
To Be Considered for This Role, You Must Have:
• A relevant SENDCo qualification (NASENCO) and QTS.
• Proven experience in a SENCO role or another senior leadership role within a primary, secondary, or SEN school.
• A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
• Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
