Rikama Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Broadstairs, who are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be working with some wonderful students, who need a little extra support in order to reach their full potential.
Students are mostly neuro-diverse, with conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Conditions and behavioural issues.
Teaching Assistants are required full-time so that they have the maximum positive impact on students. Working hours are therefore Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 (please note, this is term-time only).
This is a long-term position that has the potential to go permanent, should you be interested in this. Our schools are always open to adding the right people to the time.
The position:
To provide 1:1 support to a pupil in KS1 who has SEMH (Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
Follow the pupil’s IEP and manage behaviours effectively following the school’s policy
Liaise with class teacher, SENCO and outside agencies
The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.
