Rikama Education Ltd. are working with a welcoming and well-resourced SEND school in Bexley that are looking to appoint a part-time Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, practical learning experiences and making a real difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
About the Role:
The popular school are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable DT teacher who can teach Product Design to KS3 students, delivering creative, hands-on lessons that inspire confidence, develop practical skills, and encourage independence.
The successful candidate will work 3 days per week and will have experience of adapting lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs within an SEND environment.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
– A specialism in Product Design.
– Experience teaching in an SEND setting, either at primary or secondary level.
– The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated practical lessons.
– A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND.
– Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
