Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutoring Rikama Education Offering

Our SEN tutoring provision delivers personalised, high-quality educational support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We provide tailored one-to-one and small-group tuition designed to help learners overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes.
Our experienced tutors work with pupils across Key Stages 1–5 and support a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), sensory impairments, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
All tuition programmes are developed around the individual learner’s needs, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes, Personal Education Plan (PEP) targets where applicable, school curriculum requirements, and identified learning gaps. Tutors use adaptive teaching strategies, differentiated resources, and evidence-based interventions to ensure learning is accessible, engaging, and appropriately paced.

Our approach is relationship-based, trauma-informed, and learner-centred. We recognise that many pupils with SEND may have experienced disrupted education, anxiety, low self-esteem, or challenges engaging with traditional learning environments. Tutors therefore focus on developing trust, motivation, resilience, and independence alongside academic progress.
We offer support across core curriculum subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Functional Skills, GCSE preparation, and vocational learning pathways. Tuition can be delivered face-to-face in the home, school, community setting, or online through secure digital platforms.
Progress is closely monitored through baseline assessments, regular reviews, attendance monitoring, learner feedback, and outcome tracking against agreed targets. Detailed progress reports are shared with parents, carers, schools, local authorities, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting each learner’s development.
Our ultimate aim is to improve educational attainment, increase engagement with learning, promote emotional wellbeing, and support successful transitions into mainstream education, specialist provision, further education, employment, or training.
