Rikama Education Ltd is partnering with a respected special school in the Lewisham area who are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.

As an teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with a variety of learning needs within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils from EYFS through to KS4.

Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO, you’ll help implement personalised strategies that enable students with SEND to access learning, grow in confidence, and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support.
• Supporting students from EYFS through to KS4.
• Assist the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Support children with special educational needs and diverse learning styles.
• Help prepare classroom resources and maintain classroom organisation.
• Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• An enhanced DBS (if you do not have one we are able to process this for you)
• Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable but not essential.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to learning.
