The NASUWT teaching union has launched a campaign to legally recognise Long Covid as a disability under the Equality Act of 2010.
Long Covid affecting 1 million in the UK
As it stands, according to the union, more than one million people in the UK are now living with Covid, with educational staff being the second most likely profession to be affected, behind healthcare workers.
Covid has proved to affect people in different ways including organ damage, impairment of mental processing and extreme fatigue and shortness of breath.
Should Covid be added as an official disability, for not only educational staff, but for all?
