Most people that feel mental health issues daily will be feeling very uncertain about the world now with coronavirus as news about it seems to be at every turn. The constant news might be taking its toll on individuals, especially with those who have anxiety and OCD.
Mental Health – What can be done?
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has shared advice to those in order to protect their mental health during the coronavirus outbreak.
Recommendations from WHO include:
- Avoid reading, listening or watching the news that may make you feel distressed or anxious.
- Seek information to take practical steps to prepare and protect yourself and loved ones.
- If you feel you need to keep up to date with the news, only check it once or twice a day to keep exposure to a minimum.
